In
the actual evolution of technique the specialists are making efforts
for improve the technologies and the products to obtain a better
environment protection, an energetic efficiency, more possibilities to
recover and recycling materials. All this efforts cannot be successful
without a specific education in all the technical domains. The new
specialists we qualify will have to be able to put the correct price on
the wasted materials that results from the industrial activity they are
trained for and to look for solutions of reducing the waste and the
energetic consumption.
On
the other hand recent studies shown that research eventually may come
to a halt unless we learn to cooperate through interdisciplinary
research and education. If the students will not learn how to work with
interdisciplinary teams, how to think in interdisciplinary ways, they
will only repeat their teacher's limitations.
The unfolding of interdisciplinarity will require a true revolution, an
encompassing reform in our laboratories and schools and an appropriate
development of teaching instruments and methods accompanied by specific
training for teachers.
The
students’ creativity and enthusiasm will be reinforced by practical
research made specifically to find innovative solutions that will
decrease the volume of wasted materials resulted from each kind of
industry.
The
quality in technical education will be increased by the growing
interest of the participants for new studies and solutions about saving
energy and reducing the quantity of wasted materials and by using new
ICT based and interdisciplinary methods as teaching instruments.
