Learners involved in the implementation of the project are here presenting the Best Practices related to the re-using of wasted materials like glass, metal, paper, wood, etc. Also, some Best Practices from the local and the wider community are being presented here as good examples that could stimulate people to get involved in the reuse of wasted materials, and also as material and tools useful for educational purposes in informal and non-formal edult education activities.
The Best Practices are (click on to open it):
1) "Corfu Recycling", "Clean up Greece" & "Elvian SA";
2) "Electro Cycle", "Give it as a Gift - Hariseto", "Junky Styling - Reconstructed Clothing";
3) Evgenia Evgenidou - "Decorative art objects out of scraps";
4) Stavros Giavasidis - "Making art out of construction, industry and natural materials";
5) Elsa Pakopoulou -"Recycling materials to Hats & Bags".

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO DECREASE THE VOLUME OF WASTED MATERIALS - THE EXAMPLES OF PAPER AND GLASS
Among the project's outcomes it is foreseen a research about specific wastes - choosen by each partner - so as to find innovative solutions that will decrease the volume of wasted materials originated by any industrial or urban activity.
On this regard, Epimorfotiki Kilkis sm llc asked for the support and the scientific collaboration of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia and more precisely the Ass. Prof. G. Skodras.
The first step was to choose the wasted material to work with. The materials chosen were the PAPER and the GLASS.
The results of the research were presened by Ass. Prof. G. Skodras during a workshop organized on purpose within the partners' meeting in Zwickau (DE) on 12th of December 2012.

International Exhibition Handbook
This
handbook will present the implementation of this exhibition with impressions
and feedback from the involved to offer everyone who was not able to
participate the exhibition in Greece the opportunity to make up.
In the handbook you
could find a detailed list of all exhibits and its artists with images and
descriptions which represents the main part of this documentation. Later on
there is an evaluation partband its analysis included to prove the exhibitions
success. This is also possible by a view into the guestbook and feedback from organizers, artists and visitors.Click here to download the Handbook.

RESEARCH ON PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES - A GOOD EXAMPLE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN MACEDONIA
In the frame of the interdisciplinary teachers-students-team workshop, in cooperation with Ass. Prof. G. Skodras of the department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia, the description of a "good example" introducing how the reuse of wasted materials might be used as a "new pedagogical approach" in non-formal and/or informal adult education contexts has been presented.
The title of the paper presented is "Conversion of wastes to Energy & Materials" and it's been prepared on purpose for the needs of the "Value of Wasted Materials" project. Ass. Prof. G. Skodras presented it during project partners' meeting in Kilkis on June 20th 2012.
The aims and the scope of the presentation are:
- To reuse wastes by producing novel materials and by extracting energy, and;
- To prepare and test (in field) a generic modular training framework based on the principle of experience learning.
In the introduction of the presentation it is written:
- In a knowledge based society life-long learning will be the ultimate challenge;
- The modern globalised working environment necessitates vocational training;
- Classic ways of training, based of the binary model of school-class or teacher-apprentice are either non-applicable or ineffective.
The teacher's acquaintance with the context of the "new pedagogical approach" takes place through 3 different paradigms from the sphere of "re-using of wasted materials", namely:
1st: Advances materials from waste tyres;
2nd: Waste wood utilisation for energy generation;
3rd: Biogas – Waste to Energy.

KILKIS (GR): INTERNATIONAL EXHIBTION ON THE MEDIA
In this
post it is making evident how the Local Media (both printed and electronic) dealt with
the International Exhibition. The overall conclusion is that there were

comments have been positive.
Also, here there are some links to electronic posts:
1) on "PAIONIA NEWS"
2) on "KILKIS 24"
3) on "GNOMI KILKIS" and again "GNOMI KILKIS", and with photos "GNOMI KILKIS"
4) on "KILKIS TODAY", again "KILKIS TODAY"
5) and finally on FACEBOOK.
We are waiting that within this week more Newspapers will write about the Exhibition. We will upload photos of these Newspapers as soon as they arrive to us.
